Occupational First Aid Basic
Date: March 11 & March 24
Time: 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM
Location: Actsafe Office, Burnaby
Cost: $99 + GST
This one-day course covers the role and responsibilities of the Occupational First Aid Attendant, scene assessment, ABCs (Airway, Breathing, Circulation), wound assessment and treatment, first aid records and burns. The course also includes airway obstruction management, respiratory/cardiac arrest management, an introduction to automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and instruction on performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Completion of this course provides a WorkSafeBC OFA Basic certificate.

Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) Fundamentals

workshop is designed for current and aspiring committee members in the arts and entertainment industry who want to strengthen their role in creating safer workplaces. This interactive, hands-on workshop focuses less on regulations and more on the practical roles, duties, and responsibilities of JHSC members and co-chairs. By the end of the workshop, you will be equipped with practical tools, strategies, and resources to empower your committee and contribute effectively to a healthier, safer workplace.
