Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment

This interactive workshop focuses on effective hazard identification as the foundation of workplace safety. Participants learn to recognize on-set hazards, complete worksite assessments, and apply practical strategies to reduce risk using Job Safety Analysis and Field Level Risk Assessment tools.

Occupational First Aid Basic

Date: January 22, 2026

Time: 8:45 AM to 4:45 PM

Location: Actsafe Office, Burnaby

Cost: $99 + GST

This one-day course covers the role and responsibilities of the Occupational First Aid Attendant, scene assessment, ABCs (Airway, Breathing, Circulation), wound assessment and treatment, first aid records and burns. The course also includes airway obstruction management, respiratory/cardiac arrest management, an introduction to automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and instruction on performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Completion of this course provides a WorkSafeBC OFA Basic certificate.

Naloxone

This 2-hour workshop provides an understanding of what opioids are and their effects, how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and how to administer Naloxone in an emergency and using nasal spray and intramuscular injection.
